I've decided that this year, I'm going to read more.
So I started a booklist that includes Jane Austen, the Bronte sisters, and Charles Dickens.(we'll see how far I actually get......)
I was browsing our shelves and came across a very old book with the world *Averil* on the front.
I asked mom what it was, (because I love old books!) and she said she picked it up in antique store a long time ago because of the pretty cover and name, but hadn't ever gotton around to reading it.
Of course I had to remedy this!
It is one of the sweetest books I have ever read!
The style and word view reminded me strongly of The Old Fashioned Girl.
Not to mention the beautiful pictures inside. :)
It was written by Rosa Carey and published in 1907.
A very good read. :D

Felt Animals
I love knick-knacks, and my shelves are full of dust catchers.
And I keep making more. *sigh*
I just can't help it! When I saw this book called CountrySide Softies,
I had to buy it and make everything in it! (I'm not quite there yet :) )
This Fox is my favorite!!! I seem to be having a facination with foxes recently....but they're so cute!

Thoughts
2012.
This year is going to be busy.
I probably won't get half of the things I want to do done.
1. Make a new ball dress
2. Finish a novel or two
3. Write at least 3 songs for my Guitar
4. Finish my quilt
5. Save up for a NikonD7000
6. Plant a garden
7. Learn how to knit socks
8.Go to Australia again.
I miss my sunsets.

Knitting in the round
Yesterday I finished my first 'knitting in the round' project.
Knitting with four needles is rather intimidating, and I've put off trying it for a long time, but it's much easier than I thought.
This was my first try at changing colors and I was pretty nervous about it. I kept having the gray yarn overlap the pink and I had to tear it out a few times, but I really like how he looks now. The ear on the right twisted a little bit, but you wouldn't have noticed if I hadn't told you right?
(Yes I got the pattern from Ravelry XD )
