Oak Island: Day 6

When we woke up the next morning, a strange pipe had washed up on our beach.

Weird.
Another beautiful sunrise.

The Beach
Since it was our last day, we decided to go to Airlie Gardens.
We stopped at a charming restaurant called the Boathouse.
This is what happens when
I try to take self photos:
Me: I always stick my head in front of yours!
Emily: I look terrible in that picture! You look great. You're not sticking your head out!
what happened:
:P

They had a really cute mini train track with little houses:
There was a huge 400 year old tree!!
A grazing gaggle of geese
the lake, which looked soooo much like crocodile territory.....

For Kelsie :)

Guess what. We got lost. :o|
But we got unlost. :)
There was a house made of cement and bottles....cool and wierd at the same time.

Emily looking gorgeous. :)

Evan and Dad and their new friend.

I love my family. :D

There was an adorable chapel that was awesome for taking pictures.
the one bummer: the doors were LOCKED!

Then it started raining buckets and we all go completely soaked.
It was awesome. :P

Then we drove home, and Adrea Emily and I did a photoshoot.
What happens when I tell Emily to pose.....
Adrea:

The Guys were fishing.
Now there's a shock.
Then we went to a mini golf place.
Dad won. :P

We had dinner at the Fish house.
gotta love the lighthouse salt and pepper shakers.

Our beach vacation is over. *sigh*
No more fishing....No more walking.....
(I'm sure you've all know by now i love taking pictures of weights...)

Good bye beach!
Until next year.

Oak Island: Day 5

We started the day with another morning walk.

In the tide pools in front of our house, we found a Seastar!!
After looking at him for a while we put him back in the ocean so no one could hurt him.
See that black thing under him? He's eating it!!!
Then we found a snail.

Then....we found a clam!
Then......We found a conch!
All of the above went into Adrea's bucket
.
which she was less than happy about. :P
When we got back we showed all of them to the guys
- who were fishing-
and put them in the surf.
The clam opened and used its foot to push itself around!! It was amazing.

Emily and I had decided earlier that we *had* to make an awesome sand castle this year.
So we added a shell garden in the back. Just to be cool. :P

Adrea made this:
But the tide was coming in and it soon reduced our castle to a pile of shells.
Seagull feet -->  *grins*
And we saw dolphins!!!!!!
We were in the water, and I saw a fin and was like AAHHH!!!!
SHARK!!!!
but then i thought, Sharks don't travel in groups and they don't jump out of the water!
Dolphins!!!
They were so cool!
They were jumping really high out of the water, but i couldn't get a picture of one.
But it was awesome.
